The origins of tennis can be traced back to 12th century France where it was played with the palm of the hand. It evolved over time and in the 16th century, rackets were introduced, and the game became more popular. Today, tennis is a global sport with major tournaments held in countries such as the United States, France, Australia, and the United Kingdom.

The objective of tennis is to hit a small ball back and forth across a net, aiming to make the ball land within the court boundaries of the opposing player's side. Points are earned when the opposing player is unable to return the ball within the court boundaries. Matches can be played in singles or doubles, with the first player or team to win a predetermined number of games
