Karlsson traded to Sharks by Senators

Erik Karlsson was traded to the San Jose Sharks by the Ottawa Senators on Thursday, ending months of speculation about the future of the two-time Norris Trophy winner. Ottawa receives forwards Chris Tierney and Rudolfs Balcers, defenseman Dylan DeMelo, the rights to unsigned forward Joshua Norris, a first-round pick in the 2019 or 2020 NHL Draft, a second-round pick in the 2019 NHL Draft and two conditional draft picks.
