About Soo Pee Wee Arena
The Community First Soo Pee Wee Arena is a community rink in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. Our arena features a total spectator capacity of 1000, as well as ample parking, an on site pro shop, sharpening service, concessions, and a full service restaurant overlooking the rink.
The Community First Soo Pee Wee Arena is a non-profit facility which has been providing wholesome, community oriented sports and recreation for forty-five years. It is home to the Soo Pee Wee Hockey League which has grown over the years from 35 boys to over 950 boys and girls. Additional activities include men's and women's recreational hockey, figure skating, power skating, adult and youth hockey tournaments and the annual spring Midway.
This rink has played in integral part in Canada's favourite pastime. Stanley Cup Champions Ron Francis, Tyler Kennedy and Paul DiPietro as well as many other NHL players and hockey pros all had their start right here at the Pee Wee. The Soo Pee Wee Arena truly is the place where champions are born.
