Winnipeg Jets defenceman Nathan Beaulieu will miss at least a month with a lower-body injury, head coach Paul Maurice confirmed after practice on Thursday.

The 27-year-old suffered the injury blocking a shot off the back of his leg during Tuesday’s win over the Colorado Avalanche.

Maurice said that the team will call up a defenceman from the AHL’s Manitoba Moose and Carl Dahlstrom will get back into the lineup Thursday night when the Jets host the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Beaulieu has four assists in 21 games this season.
