Winnipeg Jets defender Dustin Byfuglien won’t join his team for their upcoming three-game road trip, according to Jets TV host Jamie Thomas.

Byfuglien hasn’t played since Feb. 14, and appeared to be progressing towards a return before suffering a new lower-body injury that figures to keep him out until at least Feb. 26, the first game following the club’s road trip.

Missing time previously this season as well, Byfuglien has suited up for just 37 games for Winnipeg in 2018-19, posting 30 points in that span while logging an average of 24:26 minutes per night.

The Jets meet Colorado on Wednesday before taking on Vegas and Arizona to close out the road trip over the subsequent four days.

Star winger Nikolaj Ehlers is currently out of the lineup dealing with an upper-body injury as well.
