When it rains, it pours.
The Canucks suffered another injury as goaltender Anders Nilsson has been placed on the injured reserve with a fractured finger. Nilsson suffered the injury during morning skate, although the severity of the injury didn't come to light until after Vancouver's pre-game skate Saturday night before hosting the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Goaltender Richard Bachman was recalled from the Utica Comets Sunday. The 31-year-old has played 47 NHL games, six with the Canucks since the 2015-16 season.
"Nilly took a shot in the morning and it didn't feel right," said coach Green. "He has a fractured finger, so Bachman will be up for a bit. Nilly will be out two-to-three weeks for sure."
Nilsson joins Chris Tanev, Alex Edler, Sven Baertschi and Jay Beagle as other injured Canucks. Brock Boeser and Elias Pettersson returned from injury Saturday.
Coach Green said Tanev remains day-to-day, while Edler has a sprained MCL and is out three-to-six weeks.
In other Canucks news, Darren Archibald was reassigned to the Comets. He played one game this season, scoring his first goal of the season.
