What is Ballistic Clothing Gear?

Toward the finish of the Vietnam War during the 1970s, the U.S. armed force started exploring the capability of composite materials for ballistic applications. Specifically, the military looked to create vests utilizing the material Kevlar®. In 1989, the U.S. military handled for battle use in Panama its first composite protective cap. This headgear was produced using a Kevlar® fiber solidified by a thermoset resin framework. The latest emphasis of it is known as the upgraded battle cap (ECH) and is made with UHMWPE.
Testing verified that the ECH improved ballistic insurance by 35 percent over any past ages of the Kevlar® cap.
